Delivery Information - 

Due to the nature of our suppliers, who make to order for us, we think it’s best to do things the following way:

We would ideally like to receive your order by Sunday night for delivery the following Thursday or Friday for items that are made to order; pies and hams mainly, but some of the fresh cheeses too. Other than this we like to dispatch order as soon as we can - but if you want your order delayed, for a present for example, that's just fine - pop your preferred weekday delivery date in the shipping instructions. Just don't put Monday! (we don't want our goods held in courier depots over the weekend)

This way, we can guarantee the freshness of our products, many of which will be delivered to us just before they are despatched to you – giving you a genuinely fresh handmade product.

When the items are despatched most of them are sent via a next-day Parcelforce courier - but orders below £20 are generally sent via Royal Mail which means ideally you need to be in to receive it - or if your local Postman's happy to leave somewhere safe that's great. The one thing we are keen to do is keep all prices as low as possible.

The ice will keep your order fresh for a few hours; just enter in the shipping instructions where it's safe for the driver to leave it - at the back door, in the porch, car port, whatever!

Packaging
Much attention is paid to the packaging. It must stay at the correct temperature and able to withstand the inevitable knock or drop – whilst still staying as environmentally friendly as possible. Therefore, foam lining, bubble wrap and ice/gel packs are used to protect and maintain a temperature of 5 degrees or under. Our packaging is 100% recycleable, but also useful – please re-use if you can! Or return to us for a 5% discount on your next order! Joy!
